A memorable end to 2008.
Posted January 5th, 2009 by EdithHappy New Year and I wish everyone a blessed 2009. I would like to share some memorable momentsĀ I had in Japan as 2008 drew to a close. (Alright, so there were a lot more food moments than bag moments!)
- First stop- Ginza Hermes. Sneaked a photo of the Kelly bag carved in wood.
- "Love, Gucci" capuccino at the Gucci cafe. It's pretty cool if you don't mind paying SGD20 for a cuppa!
- Pay a little more and you get another artistic piece!
- Pastry chefs busy at work (Peninsula Hotel Tokyo)
- Best Stewed Pork Ramen off the main street of Omotesando in Tokyo
- Pretty street outside the Peninsula Tokyo
- New York Grill at the Park Hyatt
- Having a good piece of steak at the New York Grill
- Christmas pressie on the finger!
- View from the New York Grill
- Kaiseiki dinner at Gion Hatanaka (ryokan) in Kyoto
- And the dessert they claim to be the most famous brand of strawberries in Kyoto!
- This is breakfast the morning after! Waaaaah!
- Temple in Kyoto
- Another of Kyoto's picturesque scene
- Maikos on the streets of Kyoto
- Pay JPY8000 for a half-hour ride!
- I love Ramen! Higashiyama's the best in Kyoto!
- You don't know what is ice kacang till you have it in Japan!
- Tourist-y Kyoto street
- Not quite Paris' Arc De Triomphe but just as pretty!
- Seriously, the top speed is 60kph?
- So it's not Gucci Cafe but it was worth the effort.
- And of course you don't leave Tokyo without a Hermes. Problem is which one- the slouchy or the stiff Kelly?
- Happy New Year and GanBei!
